Pohutukawa Honey

Brood Brothers Pohutukawa honey is collected from the coastal regions of the upper North Island of New Zealand, Waitemata Pohutukawa honey is amongst the whitest in the worlds, with a comparatively sweet flavour, this unique honey is gathered from bright red flowers of New Zealand's Christmas tree as it is in full flower towards the end of December.

Brood Brothers bees are placed near large areas surrounded in Pohutuakwa tress in order to capture the one Pohutukawa flavour of honey, therefore giving this honey a very distinct flavour from the Pohutukawa flower. This making each Brood Brothers honey taste very different and has its own characteristics much like different beers or wine vintages.
