Lake Pukaki Harakeke

I guess this is arguably one of the most picturesque spots in and one which always blows me away when heading to Aoraki/Mt Cook. It would be unusual to see the sky these colours so a bit of artistic license there..and the matching stones of course. 

This painting was started in October 2021 although I had taken the pic a couple of years earlier. before Covid was even a thing. Just finished last month as the final layers of flax were added. 

This is an original artwork measuring 1000 x 580mm with the image continuing around the sides. There are no reproductions of this artwork and it is available for sale or viewing at Orewa Framing Studio.
