Liz van der Laarse (1952–2025) was a New Zealand writer of fiction for pre- and early-teen readers. She taught in Far North schools for more than 27 years, working across primary, intermediate, and secondary levels.Her first novel, Trouble Patch (Reed), was published in 2000, followed by Not Even (Reed) in 2002.
