Carnelian Kauri Snail — A Carved Piece

I carved this kauri snail out of a beautiful piece of weathered carnelian. This is the first full snail I’ve carved. It has a small natural cavity where the snail goes into its shell (photo 4). Really nice and translucent, looks wonderful held up to the light.
