An exhaust flexi pipe is a corrugated, stainless steel component in a vehicle's exhaust system designed to absorb engine movement and vibrations, preventing stress and cracking of exhaust components like manifolds and downpipes.

It acts as a flexible joint between the engine and the stationary exhaust, accommodating the engine's rocking motion, especially in front-wheel-drive cars, and reducing transmitted noise and vibration to the cabin
