White Standard weight Karate gis are manufactured to the highest specifications from 8.5oz 100% Cotton fabric. This is a good practical gi. It is designed for a long life under normal training of Kata, Kumite, Forms Solo and Partner practice and also as a cool and lightweight uniform for for Aikido and TKD practice. Where grappling is anticipated we recommend that a heavier grade of fabric is used as this uniform is not designed for grappling arts. – please see the “Heavyweight” uniforms under this section. Care instructions – Cold wash and cold dry to minimise shrinkage.
