Blossom drops

These blossom drops are a fun expression of spring.
I have hand pierced (sawn) out the leaf and blossom shapes out of a thick sheet of 9ct rose gold. I then burr out the holes for the gems and move the metal onto the sapphires. After the gems are locked in tight, I use a hand held graver to engrave the bright sparkling details, this is where the magic happens. The piece goes from a slightly rough, bland metal and stone thing, to a refined, sophisticated exquisite piece of heirloom jewellery.
These double dangle sweeties are made from solid 9ct rose gold and natural pink sapphires and natural green sapphires.
From the top of the leaf to the bottom of the blossom measures 22mm. Including the solid 9ct gold earwire, it measures 38mm
The blossom is 9mm diameter
