The primary purpose of this manual is to provide a set of guidelines to
assist members of AA in understanding the structure, roles and functions
of AA service in New Zealand.

This service manual aims to help the AA member, especially the new
member, understand the need for service in AA; where it begins and
where it can lead. It explains the functions of the various bodies and how
we need dedicated members, known as trusted servants, to carry out
these functions.
