My first baby was born in October 2013, here in New Zealand, that meant heading straight into the hottest months of the year, right when swaddling is supposed to be essential for sleep. And every afternoon, I felt completely torn.

I knew she slept better swaddled, but I could also feel her getting too hot.

Wit my background in fashion and womenswear, I tried to make it work. Cutting fabrics, wrapping lighter muslins, constantly adjusting… but nothing truly solved it.
