Excessive hardness in water due to high levels of calcium carbonate will cause scale buildup on pipes and particularly water heating elements. There will also be difficulty getting soap and detergents to lather.
All of these problems are eliminated efficiently by installing a Water
Softener System. Water Softeners utilise the ion exchange process where the calcium, is replaced with the more soluble sodium. This process can be done automatically by using a timer control which allows the Water Softener resin bed to backwash and regenerate with a brine solution as required.

256 Bypass Valve: This fits directly onto the softener inlet/outlet and allows for bypass when soft water is not required, such as watering the garden.

460 Commander: This is the microprocessor control it measures water usage, so regeneration takes place when necessary.
Turbulator: This is fitted onto the resin tank riser pipe and allows turnover of the resin bed during backwash. The turbulator is highly effective for removing iron buildup from the resin bed.
