Best to use a plumbing cleaner then pipe cement to assemble. Pipework pushes inside this part at the female end.

The flange area has a diameter of 73mm and the nut would screw on to a male threaded outlet approx 79mm. Fine thread.

Comes complete with a 2 inches o'ring
