Hei Tiki Flower (Putiputi) Pounamu Sculpture
Carved from New Zealand rare Flower (Putiputi) greenstone, this one-off Hei Tiki pendant showcases deep greens and orange clouded tones. Masterfully hand carved by Sands Carving Studio, the Hei Tiki is one of the most recognised and cherished symbols in te ao Māori.
Traditionally worn as a pendant, it represents tīpuna (ancestors), symbolising wisdom, strength and intergenerational connection. As a taonga imbued with wairua (spirit), it’s often passed down through whānau as an emblem of whakapapa and aroha. Paired with an adjustable, handwoven 4-plait black cord, it may be worn or displayed on its handcrafted wooden base as a sculpture.
