Koru Pounamu Sculpture on Wood Base
Carved in our Arrowtown workshop from Putiputi (Flower) pounamu, this Koru sculpture reveals rich shades of green with creamy marbled inclusions, akin to lapping waves on the shore and unique to the stone. Its smooth, flowing curves are completed by a delicate koru — a signature of our master carver, Lee-Roy Mullings.
Resting on a driftwood base, the koru reflects the unfurling silver fern and carries meanings of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. Its flowing spiral form is a reminder that life moves in cycles, bringing continual opportunity for change and transformation.
