Kahurangi XS Notched Toki Pounamu Pendant, Tan Binding

Carved from Kahurangi pounamu, from Ironpan — a mother-and-son carving duo based on New Zealand's West Coast. A one-off, size XS Toki, its vibrant green tones catching the light.

The Toki takes the form of the traditional adze, worn as a mark of strength, determination and courage, carrying the mana of its wearer. The intricately carved notches reflect traditional Māori carving — today these notches may also represent whānau members or loved ones.
Finished on an adjustable tan cord and presented in an eco-friendly box with cards detailing its meaning and care — a truly cherished taonga.
