Whangateau Kayak Day

Come join Te Kura Moana Experience Marine Reserves for a FREE guided kayak through the beautiful Whangateau Harbour.

Spot native wildlife with Experiencing Marine Reserves, learn about the local waterways and catchment with Whitebait Connection and get expert kayaking instruction from Auckland Sea kayaks.

This event provides a taster into kayaking and freshwater workshop, please only sign up to this event if you can commit to the full 2hr 15min time slot. Expect to spend approximately 50mins on the water kayaking and 45mins in the freshwater workshop.

Age requirements: Children younger than 8 will not be able to participate. Children aged 8-12 need to have a confident adult in the back of their kayak. Children under 13 need an adult companion. Please note that the maximum weight for the sea kayaks is 1 kg per person.
