Named for our youngest daughter, this vase carries the same intention every Author Ceramics piece does, something made with your hands that outlasts the moment it was made in. But Monni is personal in a way that runs a little deeper. She is the punctuation at the end of something we have been building for a long time.

A note on use: this piece is sculptural rather than functional. The clay body is intentionally coarse and porous, the kind of material that holds texture and character but does not hold water. It is designed to live on a shelf, a table, a windowsill, not a sink. That is not a limitation. It is just what this clay is.
