A Little Boring Workshop

Grab a mate, your partner, or a worker and join us in our Avondale studio for our new introductory clay workshop.

This 1.5 hour class is the perfect entry point into working with clay. Designed for complete beginners or advanced potters, you will be guided step by step through a relaxed and creative session where we build skills gradually and confidently.

We begin with the fundamentals, learning how to work the clay by creating a simple pinch pot. From there, we build on those techniques to form two beautiful Mini Lilly Bowls, perfect for jewellery, tea lights, dips or sauces. Once you are comfortable, you will move on to creating two mini platters. You can choose to make our Mini Slightly Boring Platter or the Mini Boring Platter. We will demonstrate each piece so you feel supported while still having space to make them your own.

This class is a fun, hands on introduction to hand building. It is relaxed, welcoming and designed to give you confidence with clay while creating pieces you will genuinely use and love.

Perfect for those with no experience who want a unique and creative experience. We provide everything you need. Just turn up ready to get a little messy.

• Your handmade pieces, professionally fired and finished

All work will be fired and ready for collection from our studio approximately 8 weeks later.

Come on your own or with friends. This is an open, friendly environment and a great value way to experience clay for the first time.

Please note tickets are non refundable. Treat this booking the same as purchasing concert or movie tickets. If you are unable to attend, we will provide you with an Author at Home clay kit so you can complete the experience in your own time.
