INA HPFP CAM FOLLOWER 2.O TFSI EA113

The 2.0TFSI camshaft follower sits on the intake camshaft lobe which drives the piston in the high pressure fuel pump. This high pressure fuel pump cam follower is a common wear item on 2.0TFSI engines. Most commonly this follower will wear out causing issues with the high pressure fuel pump system. Worn followers have been known to have holes worn through them and the high pressure fuel pump piston will cause damage to the intake camshaft.

We particularly recommend regularly inspecting this follower to ensure that it is in good shape. This is especially important on modified engines that are running more than average boost levels.

We recommend checking your fuel pump cam follower:

- Every 10000-15000 km on highly modified cars
- Every 30000-50000 KM on stock cars
