P-40B Warhawk, 2nd Lt. George Welch, 47th Pursuit Squadron, 15th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, Hawaii, 1941. An aircraft and pilot made famous during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Welch was one of the few USAAC pilots who managed to get airborne to engage the enemy. He scored 4 victories, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. This model has a sliding canopy and removable pilot figure. It comes with a d
