Roma Tomato Seed

Roma are the classic saucing tomato, the plant produces lots of medium small fruit that are bright red and shaped like an elongated egg.

Their low moisture content combined with their high sugar and acid ensures a rich flavour that is especially suited for sauces and pastes.

Roma is a hybrid variety developed around 1955 in the US for commercial harvest. Thought to be a cross between the Pan American tomato and San Marzano, grown for its shape, disease resistance and durability.
