Large sunflower like flowers are a magnificent sight and a magnet for monarch butterflies. The large upright leaves provide structure till flowering starts in late summer. 120 – 180 cms.

A robust upright large perennial with magnificent sunflower like flowers. The coarse basal leaves can reach 90 cm. Flower stems are strong and upright to 120- 180 cm. Flowers appear from midsummer. A stunning site on mass especially when the monarch butterflies find it.

Slow spreading tuberous roots are completely winter dormant. Plants prefer moist well drained soils in full sun.
