Fuego is a graffiti writer based in Wellington and has been painting for over 15 years. He is a member of several crews including MTS, OCT, and TMD. His style of graffiti is influenced by traditional lettering which stems from local and international styles. He also runs a brand called Fresh Press which is represented in various mediums including a printed magazine and clothing label.

The inspiration for his design draws on the fundamental elements of graffiti through a tag / handstyle. No matter how many colours, effects, and or decorations a writer may add to their piece, the core aesthetic of graffiti comes back to the essence of a tag in it’s purest form, which often gets overlooked by more visually appealing aesthetics. This shirt reminds of graffiti and acts as a homage to the artform.
