eSun PLA-Wood Filament
PLA-Wood filament has a wood-like appearance effect, and the surface is matte and delicate without layering. This PLA-Wood filament is a PLA based 3D printing material, which has the characteristics of easy to print and smooth surface as PLA filament.

PLA-Wood: From Concept to Perfection
Based on its proprietary PLA foaming technology, eSUN pioneered a wood-like 3D printing material that combines lightweight properties with authentic wood texture. However, due to the formulation characteristics of wood-based composites (containing natural plant fibers), such materials often face challenges in printability and dimensional stability, which affect user experience. To address these pain points, eSUN has continuously refined its PLA-wood formula and manufacturing process, achieving the optimal balance among aesthetics, printability, and cost-effectiveness.
The latest PLA-Wood introduces natural plant fibers to recreate woodgrain appearance. By fine-tuning fiber ratio and texture parameters, it achieves a realistic matte wood finish with natural texture. At the same time, eSUN optimized melt flow, additives, and lubricants in the PLA base, enhancing flowability and effectively reducing stringing and clogging issues. Under standard printing parameters, the material performs stably, offering excellent dimensional accuracy and surface consistency.
Currently, eSUN PLA-Wood comes in five color schemes, all of which are popular for wood materials and are very suitable for use in home and architectural design models.

Hot end compatibility recommendation: This product contains natural plant fibers. It is recommended to use it with a hot end >0.4mm to avoid clogging of the 0.2mm hot end, and to ensure smooth yarn output and fine pattern.
Drying Recommendations: PLA-Wood contains natural plant fibers, making it more susceptible to moisture absorption. For optimal printing results, it is recommended to dry the filament at 60°C for 8 hours before printing. Please store in a dry environment.
Regarding Color Difference: Slight color differences may occur due to variations in the dryness of the filament; this is a normal physical phenomenon.
Wood Odor: The addition of natural plant fibers gives PLA-Wood a slight, natural woody aroma during printing. This odor is non-irritating and non-toxic. Print in a well-ventilated area whenever possible.
