2022 Bouchard Beaune 1er Cru Marconnets Caros Wines NZ

A serious red from one of the northernmost vineyards in Beaune, Burgundy's most famous village. The name of the Marconnets vineyard dates back to the 3rd Century, and Bouchard have owned vines here since 1791. This wonderful vineyard slopes toward the Southeast on clay-rich soils of chalky limestone marl, resulting in a wine of deep elegance and texture. The Bouchard Marconnets will decant well now or improve for some years in the cellar.
