2022 Planeta Cerasuolo Dorilli Caros Wines NZ

An elegant premium wine from the southern coast of Sicily, near Vittoria. This Dorilli label is a higher "Classico" version of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, sourced from the best vineyards in a limited subzone with extra aging before release (12 months in classy large oak). The style's brightness and smoked cherry-spice are deepened here with more Nero D'Avola and nicely ripe and grainy tannins. This will shine after a good decant or a spell in the cellar.
