On Super Special. Gold Medal NZWS. Nelson's famous Moutere clay soils give us another ridiculously good Blackenbrook Pinot Gris. Beautiful peachy pear fruit against mineral acidity, heaps of texture and a backbone that is rounded by a small portion that sees old oak. Wildly over-invested and 'serious' for the price, this Blackenbrook is proper stuff and rare in retail.
