2024 Frontonio Microcosmico Garnacha Caros Wines NZ

A beautiful Grenache red from organically managed, dry farmed bush vines in the steep hills of Spain's Aragon. The refreshing Microcosmico is a serious but enjoyable red with expressive red fruits set off by lively acidy and chalky tannins. These 50 year old vines are on slate soils at 650-700m, their fruit fermented in concrete to reflect the traditional winemaking of this region where the Garnacha variety originates. Made by a Master of Wine, the Microcosmico is an X factor Spanish red to chill or splash into a glass with any kind of tasty food.
