2024 Talmard Macon-Uchizy Chardonnay Caros Wines NZ

A delicious Chardonnay from the Maconnaise village of Uchizy. Talmard is a quality-obsessed producer who only produces a village wine from here. So this humbly priced bottle is from 40 year old vines in their beautiful Uchizy vineyards. It is harmonious and medium-weighted, with ripe stone fruit and citrus cut gently cut through with minerality. A bargain which compares favourably to many Burgundies in sheer drinkability. Try it as an aperitif or fish wine.
