Macrocarpa Sleepers are sourced from local mills and are not treated, making them ideal for growing food in raised beds, as low retaining walls and edging paths.
Macrocarpa is one of the most naturally durable exotic softwoods grown in New Zealand, offering strong resistance to insect and borer attacks in its sawn form. When used outdoors above ground, macrocarpa has durability comparable to H3-treated pine.
