Leathercraft Lab: Create your own stylish Tote Bag - starts on Saturday 21 March 2026

Join Fio Thomson of Inhide Leather (Hamilton) for a hands-on workshop where you'll design and craft your own custom leather tote bag. Working from a simple base pattern, you'll choose your leather colour and personalise your bag with features such as strap/s length, pockets, clasps, or a zip. Throughout the weekend you'll learn essential leathercraft techniques - including cutting and preparing leather, hand stitching, setting hardware and finishing - so you can create a high-quality and functional genuine leather tote to last a lifetime. You'll leave with a beautifully made bag that reflects your style and your new skills.

Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March 2026
10 am to 3 pm each day

$250.00 (Leather and fixtures included)

Enrolment Information:

Community Education courses are for adults. You must be at least 16 to enrol in our courses.

If enrolments are low prior to the start date of your course, we will advise you and there will be a full refund. We prefer not to cancel the class until absolutely necessary.

Once you are enrolled we will send you further information about this course via email, please ensure you check your emails, including spam and junk.

Should you need to withdraw from a course the following will apply:

· More than 7 days before the course starts, a refund of 90% of the course fee will be given

· Less than 7 days before the course starts, a refund of 50% of the course fee will be given

· On the day the course starts or after commencement no refund will be given

You will be asked to complete an evaluation form at the end of your course. Your evaluation assists us to improve our service and provide feedback to our funders, who enable us to maintain fees at an affordable level.
