The WA-47Jr is the transformerless FET version of the WA-47, it manages to keep the same great mid forward tone 47s are known for without costing a fortune. Featuring the same K47 style capsule as the flagship WA-47, but with faster transients and a higher SPL rating!
Built To Handle Anything
Since the WA-47Jr is a transformerless FET condenser, it handles high SPL really well. With a maximum SPL rating of 157dB (with the -10dB pad engaged) you can mic up kick drums or guitar cabs without having to worry about damaging the mic. On the flip side of this, you can record very extremely quiet sources with the WA-47Jr thanks to its ultra low noise floor.

The WA-47Jr is built with premium Toshiba transistors, WIMA film capacitors and importantly with Panasonic electrolytic capacitors which are key to the signal conversion, getting extra tone out of the capsule for a more accurate, vintage sound.
Versatility
The WA-47 features three polar patterns (cardioid, figure 8, and omni) so you can choose exactly how you want to capture sounds. It also has a -10dB pad for those extra loud sources and a 70hz high pass filter to get rid of any muddiness before it hits your preamp, giving you extra headroom.
