Emma Cunningham | Quatrefoil Earrings
Quatrefoil earrings by Emma Cunningham. These little wearable works of art are made from vintage silverware which is then deconstructed, beaten, and riveted. Each piece is handmade and no two are the same.
The quatrefoil is an ancient symbol for good luck. The word is derived from Latin and means four leaves - like a four-leaf clover In Native American culture, the four leaves of the quatrefoil symbolise the four ends of the earth: North, South, East, and West.
Emma Cunningham is an artist based in Whanganui, New Zealand. Emma draws inspiration from nature and is concerned with the preservation of it. Birds and animals appear in her work as signposts or messengers.
