New Zealand Rail uniform waistcoat.

Features 5 metal buttons emblazoned with the logo for the New Zealand Railways Department, 4 pockets, and an extra buttonhole for a watch chain.

The logo on the buttons display the crown of Queen Elizabeth ii, which indicates that this waistcoat can be dated to 1953 or later, however the buttons would have been changed out on older uniforms to represent the new monarch, so this waistcoat could very well be older.
