Kantha Doha Quilt - Blue Mood / Blue Iris - One of a Kind

This is a one-of-a-kind piece. The Blue Mood quilt is woven with story and soul - its cotton top salvaged from the traditional woodblock printing tables of Jaipur, bearing the traces of countless prints laid down before it. Layer upon layer of underprint has built a surface of deep teal-blue, slate and indigo, softened by time into something entirely its own - a painterly, timeworn beauty that no new cloth could replicate. Each mark, each shift in tone, each ghost of a former print is part of the story. There is only one.

The reverse is our signature cotton-linen blend, custom-dyed in Blue Iris - a deep, inky tone that grounds the piece and deepens the blue mood from front to back. Inside, a fill of 100% natural pin-punched cotton offers breathability and warmth without a trace of synthetics.

Every quilt is finished with blanket-stitched edges and hundreds of tiny running kantha stitches, sewn entirely by hand by the women we partner with in nearby villages. This stitching - passed from mother to daughter - brings quiet strength, purpose, and structure to each piece, while helping support long-term livelihood and independence for the artisans.

Use it as a lightweight bed cover, a layered throw, or a striking wall piece. This is more than a quilt - it is a living textile heirloom, made slowly, mindfully, and with deep intention.
