Cushion Cover - Veiled Garden / Damson - 40 x 60 - One of a Kind

This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Veiled Garden pattern - soft vertical stripe structures underlay the whole cloth, with washes of sage green, dusty blue, lavender, peach and olive bleeding into one another. Scattered blue butterfly and delicate floral motifs float through the layers, with a decorative border of lotus forms along the lower edge. The effect is ethereal and lush, like looking through a veil at a garden in full bloom. Each is entirely unrepeatable.

The Damson linen-cotton backing adds a deep, plum-toned richness that anchors the piece beautifully against the soft garden palette of the front. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover, finished with quiet precision.
