2K Front & 2K Rear with Dual Sony Starvis 2 Image Sensors
Both front and rear cameras record at 30 frames per second in 2K, 5-megapixel pixel resolution with Sony IMX675 STARVIS 2 image sensors in both cameras for an optimal mix of resolution and low-light sensitivity.
Dual Channel HDR support on the front & rear cameras
HDR (High Dynamic Range) also reduces motion blur and improves detail, making license plates easier to read on moving vehicles.
Ultra Low-Light Boost
Elite 8 boosts sensitivity in very dark environments, so you get usable footage even where the eye can barely see, down to under 0.03 Lux.
Parking Mode - 3 Surveillance Modes
Please note the camera will need to be installed using the included hardwire cable to connect to your vehicles fuse box or dashcam battery pack to provide a power source for parking recording.
1. Motion Detection Mode: records a 1-minute buffered video whenever a motion is detected by the front or rear camera. Motion detection areas can be set manually in the app.
2. Time Lapse Mode: records constantly at 1 frame per second so each 1 minute video covers 30 minutes of real time. Recommended if you routinely park in busy areas.
Pre-impact recording: in both modes, the dashcam also records buffered Event clips in case of impact. That means 1-minute clips that start 10 seconds before the detected impact.
3. In Power Saving Mode, the dashcam minimizes power consumption by going into standby, then wakes up on impact and goes back to standby mode after 1 min recording.

Other Features
- Supports up to 1TB microSD (please note BlackVue don't currently offer a 1TB microSD)
- Tagged recordings: All recordings tagged with your GPS location, time and speed which can be visualized on Blackvues App’s map plus also Blackvue Web Viewer (PC/Mac).
- Event recording: Detects and records driving impacts, parking impacts, sudden acceleration, hard braking, sharp turns, and overspeeding using the built-in G-Sensor and GPS.
- Automatic loop recording, when the microSD card storage is full, older clips are automatically overwritten by newer footage.
- Event File Protection ensures that critical footage is not overwritten by normal driving clips.
- Blackvue App: download footage (ultra fast 5GHz), adjust settings or show/transfer footage to Police at the scene of an accident. Provides instant video evidence when required.

- Built-in Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & ultra fast 5GHz) allows you to view recordings, change settings, playback and download recordings to your mobile device (within a 5 metre range around the car).
- Option to upgrade for 4G LTE CLOUD Connectivity – if you'd like to access your phone remotely and get live notifications you can either add an LTE module to your setup now or in the future. The LTE module does requires a sim and data plan which can be purchased from large providers like Spark, One and 2Degrees.
