Citron Goby
The (Gobiodon citrinus) is a charming, reef-safe goby recognized for its bright yellow body and contrasting blue vertical stripes around the face and fins. This small, peaceful species naturally associates with branching corals like Acropora, often perching among the branches for protection and a natural vantage point. Their calm demeanor and striking coloration make them a delightful addition to reef aquariums of all sizes.
To ensure their wellbeing, provide an aquarium of at least 80 liters with plenty of live rock and branching coral structures (real or artificial) where they can perch and hide. The carnivorous and thrives on a diet of frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and quality micro-pellets. While they may form pairs or small groups in larger tanks, they can become territorial with their own kind in smaller systems.
Peaceful with tankmates and completely reef safe, the makes an excellent choice for aquarists wanting a hardy, low-maintenance, yet visually striking fish. Its unique perching behavior and bold, glowing yellow coloration ensure it will quickly become a standout personality in any reef aquarium.
