Mr Black's Mezcal Barrel Rested Coffee Liqueur is a seriously cool twist on the cult-favourite Mr Black formula, taking that signature coffee-first style and layering in smoky mezcal character for something darker, moodier and a bit more adventurous. Roasted and distilled in Australia, Mr Black has built its reputation on proper Arabica coffee flavour and a less sugary, more grown-up profile than old-school coffee liqueurs, and this limited-style release pushes that even further.

This mezcal-rested expression starts with classic Mr Black coffee liqueur, then spends time in ex-Ilegal Mezcal casks before a touch of Ilegal Joven Mezcal is added to the final blend. The result is richer and more complex than the standard bottling, with roasted agave, nutmeg and spice weaving through the deep coffee core.

An absolute treat to have neat or over ice - and makes for a ridiculously good Espresso Martini.

Tasting Notes
