BaBin Golden Rum 700ml

BaBin Golden Rum is part of the first commercial release from BaBin Rum Reserve, the premium dark spirit collection created by French distiller Julien Delavoie and the team at No8 Distillery in Dunedin. Six years in development, it brings together French distilling heritage, careful cask selection, and a structured solera ageing programme to create a polished New Zealand rum with genuine depth. Smooth and elegant enough to sip neat, but accessible enough for premium cocktails, it is an impressive opening statement from an exciting new local rum label.

This beautifully rounded golden rum is created from a three year solera blend matured in French oak, ex-New Zealand Chardonnay, and ex-Armagnac casks. The Chardonnay influence brings fruit, gentle vanilla, and softness, while the Armagnac casks add deeper oak, dried fruit, and spice. Honeyed molasses and vanilla lead into caramelised sugar, ripe banana, toasted almond, and dried tropical fruit, followed by a smooth, gently spiced finish with just a trace of smoke.
