Pokeno's Exploration Series Triple Distilled celebrates the bold, confident spirit of New Zealand whisky making. Crafted in a warm misty valley protected by volcanic hills and fed by pure spring water, it captures the character of its home as much as the precision of its craft. Triple distillation is rare in New Zealand and even rarer at this level. By running the spirit through their 3600 litre still for the final two distillations and taking only a tiny heart cut, Pokeno creates an unusually pure, lifted and fruit driven style.

This release leans into everything that makes Pokeno distinctive; slow distillation, long fermentation, first fill bourbon casks and an obsession with quality over quantity. The result is a single malt that is sweet, silky and expressive, with a flavour profile that almost glows. It is New Zealand whisky pushing boundaries with confidence and clarity.

Tasting Notes

Rich honey and vanilla with citrus and soft toffee on the nose. The palate brings vanilla bean, butterscotch, sweet citrus and a touch of pepper clove. The finish is long, smooth and honeyed.
