Double distilled in copper pot stills on Waiheke Island in 2020 and bottled in 2025, this small batch release showcases the island’s salty, maritime character wrapped around sweet, fortified wine richness. It is aged first in bourbon casks before a finishing period in Australian liqueur muscat barrels, creating a whisky that feels confident, expressive and unmistakably Waiheke.

This is a whisky made by the sea, using organic New Zealand malted barley and fresh water with a subtle briny influence. That coastal edge meets muscat sweetness beautifully, delivering a dram that is smoky but approachable, rich without being heavy. Tasting Notes

Aromas of orange peel, vanilla and raisins rise first, layered with gentle, coastal peat smoke. The palate is bold and full, showing dried fruits, sweet vanilla and a punchy peat perfume that carries through the mid-palate. The finish is warming and satisfying, balancing smoky salinity with lingering muscat sweetness.
