Oban 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish Special Releases 2022 Whisky 700ml

New Oban bottlings don't come along very long and this release as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2022 is a bit different to most. Matured initially in refill and new-American-oak casks, it is then further aged in amontillado sherry casks. The result is an elegant sherry-forward, dried and fresh fruit layer that complements Oban's orangey distillery character. 57.1%abv

Nose Sweet-smelling, vanilla and toffee, with red cherry and cardamom.

Palate Lively, very spicy, liquorice, cardamom, cloves, and orchard fruit. Highly aromatic.

Finish Long with tobacco and mint.

Overall Lovely aromatics, invigorating like extremely upmarket Listerine.
