A classic “independent bottling" — shorter-aged than many old-timer bottlings, but with the potential of vibrant sherry-cask character, plus the punch of cask-strength bottling.

Nose: Rich sherried fruit: stewed/pruned fruits, raisins, cherries, with sweet-apple and toffee-apple tones.

Palate: Rich and mouth-coating: candied orange, dark chocolate, treacle or sticky toffee, mellow oak spice.

Finish: Finish tends to be medium to somewhat drying: nutty dryness or oak tannin, lingering citrus peel or orange-zest echoes, plus residual dark-fruit sweetness.
