Deanston 9 Year Old 2009 Port Cask Finish 'The Cooper's Choice' 700ml Whisky

This single cask Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the Deanston distillery was distilled in September 2009 and matured initially in an ex bourbon cask with additional ageing in an ex port cask.

Eventually it was bottled at 9 years old for the Cooper's Choice series, with 300 bottles released at 54% abv.

Nose: White chocolate, orange peel, honeycomb and walnut on the nose.
Palate: Rich with oily barley and melted butter, with a helping of raspberry sorbet along the way.
Finish: Notes of red liquorice and brioche.
