Embroidered Cotton Treasure Bags

These beautiful cotton pouches with floral hand-embroidery are perfect for little ones to store their treasures in. They close with a drawstring and are fully lined. Also a lovely addition to a play basket, for 'posting' or hiding small items in for discovery.

The outside fabric is hand woven cotton and the lining is market bought. Each pouch takes one whole day to embroider. The embroidery techniques used are over a thousand years old, they are based on the practises of the Kathiawadi desert nomads and are being kept alive by the Gujarati artisans of St Mary’s Mahila Shikshan Kendra, one of our fair trade partners in India.
