Overview: Sourced from the pristine landscapes of Morocco, our Blue Yarrow Oil is meticulously extracted from the flowering tops of the Achillea Millefolium plant. Our blue yarrow oil gives a delightful and pervasive scent, characterised by sweet, fresh, and green-herbaceous notes, complemented by a subtle woody and somewhat camphoraceous undertone. As the fragrance evolves during the dry down phase, it transforms into a sweeter aroma. The genus name Achillea is derived from the mythical Greek character Achilles, who is said to have carried it with his army to treat battle wounds. During the steam distillation process, matricin, a sesquiterpene and one of the essential oil constituents, decomposes into chamazulene due to heat and pressure. This transformation imparts a deep vivid blue colour to the oil. Chamazulene is widely recognized for its beneficial properties for the skin.
