Chamomile German is an annual plant that thrives in temperate climates with well-drained, sandy soil. It is known for its small daisy-like flowers with white petals and yellow centres. Egypt is one of the largest producers of Chamomile German essential oil. The sunny and dry climate of Egypt’s Nile Delta region provides an ideal environment for cultivating this delicate flower. The yield is very low when steam distilled, 1000 kilograms of flowers and leaves can give around 3 to 4 kilograms of oil.
