Although widely known as rosewood oil, the Aniba Rosaeodora tree has no relation with the tree genus (rosewood) Dalbergia. This is in the species of Magnoliid tree. The tree is now classified as an endangered species that grows in the tropical rainforest of South America. Aniba Rosaeodora is known as a great source for rosewood oil, which is widely used in perfumery and aromatherapy. CITES has put a control on the harvesting of Aniba Rosaeodora tree and we have decided to provide a natural substitute of this oil instead of the real rosewood oil.
