Longines - 1970s Flagship
WHAT WE LOVE:
The Longines Flagship Ref. 8418-4 from the 1970s is a wonderful example of the era’s bold shift in watch design. While the Flagship line traditionally leaned toward classic dress watches, this reference adopts a distinctly 1970s “TV-style" case, with a wide rectangular profile and rounded edges that give the watch a strong vintage character.
The case design creates a larger wrist presence than the measurements might suggest. The dial is clean and refined, featuring applied indices, slender hands, and the Flagship script above 6 o'clock, a hallmark of the collection that reflects Longines’ longstanding maritime heritage.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
Powering the watch is the manually wound Longines Cal. 428.
