King Seiko - 1969 45KS 45-8000

WHAT WE LOVE:

One of the purest expressions of mid-century Japanese watchmaking. The 45KS series was produced by Daini Seikosha and features a high-beat hand-wound movement with razor-sharp case lines, a crisp dial layout, and that signature grammar-of-design style that Grand Seiko would later be known for. A matte grey dial adds subtle character to the minimalist form — elegant, understated, and beautifully proportioned.
